[Heeeeere's Clover! She's standing at the entrance of Goldenrod, beaming wide and holding the Gear at arm's length in front of her with her free hand. There's a tiny Gible tucked under her other arm, gnawing idly on a rock, and a Munna buried in one of her bushy pigtails.]
Finally! I was going stir crazy in Violet City, but stomping around outside wasn't any better. And look who hatched just in time to see the big city! [The whole frame jostles as Clover hefts her Gible up in her arm. The Pokémon squeaks, clinging to the rock, and fidgets in an attempt to get a little closer to the camera.] Introducing Princess Pearl Chompathia the Great! Isn't she the cutest...teeth...dinosaur...shark thing you've ever seen?! Thanks a whole bunch, Anna!
[Apparently unimpressed by this grand title, Princess doesn't respond until Clover tries shifting her again and poor Princess drops her chew toy stone. Distressed barking is heard off-screen, Princess starts to whine, the Munna makes noises that sound like complaints, and Clover sighs.]
Anyway— [She'll deal with this momentarily; she's just gonna yell over all of the sad Pokémon noises happening for now.] —I've spent waaay too much time hiking around in the woods by myself lately, and since Goldenrod seems like the place to be, I wanna know what all the best places to hang out are! So lemme know, okay? And—ugh, one sec—all right, you two, calm— [Aaaand the video's off. Give her a minute or two.]
action a
[The problem with keeping half your Pokémon out at once is if one of them gets into trouble, all of them do. It takes Clover no time at all to figure that one out after the video's been shut off—and that's the story behind the tiny pink-haired girl darting up and down the street in pursuit of one Pokémon or another: Princess is fluctuating between wailing over her lost chew toy and chasing around Lady the Snubbull (her new favorite game!), Lady barks and whines and runs circles around Clover in an attempt to escape the horrifying teeth monster, Daisy the Munna keeps rolling out of Clover's pigtail as she runs about and going back to her spot whenever Clover stops to fret over her where she hovers in the air—and so on, and so on.
Surrounded by the same purplish glow that engulfs Daisy every time she tumbles and catches herself, the rock Princess had been chewing on hovers a few feet above Clover's head. Everyone who isn't a trouble-making Munna is too busy running circles around each other to notice where the lost chew toy has gone.
Clover bends down to scoop Lady up in her arms, hears Daisy squeak as she tumbles, puts Lady back down to snatch Daisy before she gets the chance to fall, Lady sprints away with Princess in toddling pursuit—] Lady! Get back here! Oh my god—
[Someone please help her pull herself together.]
action b
[Eventually Clover manages to get everybody to stop losing their minds, so she goes on a short, well-deserved shopping trip and takes a seat on a park bench to people-watch, eat her snacks, and...blow bubbles.
Yep. Somewhere in the department store she found something to unite her collection of weird animals, and it is a bottle of bubble soap and a wand. Lady and a grand total of three Munna bounce about the area in front of her, chasing after and headbutting and nosing and (in Lady's case, anyway) occasionally running in fear of the clusters of bubbles Clover blows in their direction.
There are, of course, plenty of bubbles to go around, being missed and carried off by the wind, if any other easily-distractable creatures (or people; bubbles are pretty rad, after all) are in the area.]

Lady reacts before Clover does, barking as loud as she can at the floating pillowcase and, when the noise fails to immediately send this frightening new foe fleeing in terror, scurrying back to Clover and leaping up in her lap. Clover just manages to set aside the bubbles without spilling them everywhere.]
...Umm... [Holding a shivering Snubbull in her arms, Clover takes a few tentative steps over to the approaching pillowcase to get a better look at it. Honestly, a Pokémon that's literally just a pillowcase wouldn't be the weirdest thing she's seen here yet.]

[... An Arbok comes slithering down the street, followed by Naoya. A massive snake tends to get people out of the way, but the pair stops when they spot Clover and... the pillowcase.]
There you are.
[The pillowcase makes a sad noise. Nooooo. She wanted to have fun!]
no subject
Oh—uh, is...this yours?
no subject
[The pillowcase makes a sad noise again, and slowly floats over to him. He pulls the pillowcase off, revealing a Shuppet, and then puts it back on her.]
... I don't know why she likes pillowcases so much, before you ask.

[The Arbok next to him wags his tail. Hello!]
no subject
Yeah? I've got a baby to deal with myself here, actually... [She crouches down, places Lady on the ground (she immediately scurries behind Clover's legs), and scoops Princess into her arms.] Tah-dah! Princess Pearl Chompathia the Great! Just hatched out of her egg earlier today.
no subject
[He leans a little closer and... ah. Yes.]
She looks fierce. You might want to be careful with those teeth of hers.
[... But she's kind of adorable.]

I see. Well, at least rocks are easy to find and don't cost anything, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a steady supply on your travels.
[Yurlungur hisses a friendly greeting. Cha, chabok! Hello, friend! ]

Find a playmate your own size, Princess, c'mon. ...It's tame, right? [The giant snake probably wouldn't be out in public otherwise, but it's a giant snake; she's gotta check.]
no subject
[He reaches over and scratches Princess behind one of her jet... things.]
Yurlungur is very gentle most of the time. Unless he's in a battle, he's really very sweet.

[Play? Play! Yurlungur wags his tail again.]
no subject
Thanks. I think it'll be good to get her socialized while she's super young still. [With her hands free, she takes her bottle of bubbles again and blows another batch. Lady does not move from her spot behind Clover, but her three Munna all bumble over each other to start playing again in the area in front of her.]
My name's Clover, by the way!
no subject
[Yurlungur hisses encouragingly to her. That's really good! He snaps his jaws. Look, he can do it too! Though most of his teeth aren't as big as hers are.]
no subject
[Iiiiinteresting! Princess's teeth are the biggest teeth of any she's seen so far in her short life, but having her teeth be bigger than a creature so much bigger than her constitutes mad bragging rights. She grins as wide as she can, making proud gestures at her mouth. Show off.]
...Hey, how do you even get a snake that big, anyway?
no subject
Hm? Oh. I caught him when he was an Ekans, and not nearly this big. He was small enough to drape around my shoulders, actually. But when he evolved, he just... naturally grew to this size.
B!
He emerges with a plastic bag in one hand, and while he walks down the street he reaches cautiously into his other bag to pull out one of the Pokeballs inside. Oddly enough, once enlarged there are...bite marks clearly visible on it...]
Okay...
[He sighs deeply before taking a slow breath, tossing the ball lightly into the air in front of him. In a flash, a scruffy Deino stands before him, his tail wagging and his mouth slightly open. He can hear the rustle of the bag as Kaneki reaches into it and almost immediately tries to run forward, while Kaneki quickly backpedals.]
Wait! Ah, wait please-! I...I have...uh...
[He scrambles backward while the Deino trots toward him, trying his best to pull something out of that bag...and just before the Pokemon can catch his trainer, one of the bubbles pops on his nose. He stops, turning his head this way and that until another one pops on his face. He snaps in that direction, half turning. Snap...snap snap. By the time Kaneki gets the toy out of the bag- a little rubber tire- the Deino is very well distracted by trying to eat the bubbles popping on his face.
That's when he notices Clover sitting nearby, blowing them.]
I guess those are more interesting, Angmar...
no subject
Oh—sorry, she's a runner. Princess! Don't be a pest, get back here. [When blowing more bubbles directly in front of her does not immediately divert Princess's attention and instead just ineffectually gets more bubbles everywhere, Clover stands up and huffs, hands on her hips.]
no subject
But just before that can happen, Clover blows more bubbles at Princess, which- in turn- float Angmar's way and pop in his face again, prompting him to start snapping again.
He breathes a sigh of relief, his knuckles white from gripping the toy in his hand.]
No, I...he doesn't listen very well...

no subject
Y-yeah...I know how that is. I'm sorry...I hope he isn't bothering you.

Normally, Veronica took to shopping alone, leaving her Pokemon back at the hotel for fear of... this exact thing happening. Wicked G and 2shade were hard to handle on their own. Them, with the addition of Ako and Ronin would be a disaster, and also quite expensive.
She was surrounded by a few of her younger Pokemon instead. Tamago the Happiny, and Watage the Mareep kept close to their trainer's legs as she had instructed. Shimai the Ralts, who was currently in Veronica's arms, pointed at the commotion curiously. That sure was a lot happening, huh?
Honestly... Veronica was blanking. She could just walk away....]
no subject
Lady barks, and in her attempt to scramble to a stop instead of colliding into poor Watage, ends up falling on her face. The burbling noises Princess makes might be laughter? This might be the funniest thing she's ever seen in her few hours of life.
Clover...will be over momentarily; Daisy has tumbled out of her pigtail again and is bouncing about in the air, and Clover's fairly certain she's falling but can't manage to catch her.]
no subject
It was enough to shake Veronica out of her frozen stance and into action, at least. She set Shimai down, who seemed pretty upset about everything right now, and made sure to help her Pokemon get back on his feet.
Meanwhile, Tamago seemed to think everything was fine. The baby Pokemon waddled closer to Clover and her Pokemon, finding the chaos much more interesting then it really was.]
no subject
Around this time, Daisy stops playing hot potato in Clover's hands and hangs still in one spot in the air. Declaring this secure enough, Clover starts running over to Veronica and the rest of that shitshow in an attempt to assist.
...Except as soon as she does, Daisy concentrates her psychic and attempts to levitate Tamago up into the air with her. The sound that comes out of her tiny tapirish mouth is almost a snicker.]
a
But, all thoughts of flirting come o a screeching halt when he spots the little pack of creatures dashing by. And not just the Pokémon, but a young lady struggling to contain them.
Well, he's far from the sort to leave a lady in distress. Setting aside his initial goal, he dashes into the path of the fleeing monsters.]
And just where do you think you're going? Can't you see that your trainer's in distress?
[Well, assuming they are her Pokémon, at any rate.]
no subject
Princess can't quite decide whether she wants to continue her chase or see about this potential new playmate—she's still standing in the middle of the street in immense confusion when Clover dashes over, Lady hauled up into her arms and Daisy tucked into a pigtail.]
You too, you little brat. [With everyone gathered all together, at least Princess doesn't have anyone to chase after at the moment. Instead she stands at Clover's feet and squawks, hoping to be answered with affection.] Thanks so much for stopping them. The brat's just hatched so she wants to do everything, and everything scares the dog, so they're troublemakers.
no subject
[He offers a bright smile, glancing from her to her entourage.]
A shame that they were in such a hurry to escape such a lovely flower. I, for one, would be thrilled to spend time in your company.
[Annd... there he goes, slipping back into his typical habits. That didn't last long.]
video;
There's so much to do in Goldenrod, though! Between all of the stores and the Game Corner and the Park so closeby and everything else, it's pretty hard to get bored, really! There's always something to do!
video
You really think so?! You're the best, Anna! Hehe, she's definitely a little speed demon, but I'm getting the hang of chasing her down already.
Ooh, good, 'cause I got soooo tired of all the nothing going on in Violet real fast. What's the best thing to do, though?
no subject
A lot of people seem to think Violet's kind of a sinkhole, so I'm not too surprised you think that! When Elsa and I were staying there a month or so ago, though, our favorite thing to do was heading down to this bakery down by where the Gym is and getting some chocolate cake...
[Girl's got her priorities in order, clearly.]
