This place can do just about anything and as soon as something good could happen it won't, and I hate it.

Can I ask who you wished for?

My boyfriend.

He was sort of trapped back home. If there was anywhere that could get him out, I thought this place would be it.

Trapped? That's terrible...

You'd think it could, right? This dumb place can do just about anything else. I've noticed people sort of show up in spurts, though, so I hope he shows up someday soon. No one should have to be trapped in any kind of way, and I bet being without him sucks.

I'd like that.

This place is pretty amazing once you get past some of the annoying parts, right? I think it's some place he'd like a lot. What about your brother?

Mostly it's just weird here. But there'd be a lot for him to learn about, and I think he'd like that.

Before I showed up here, we were talking about running away and living on our own together. I guess this wouldn't be a bad place to do that.

It's pretty easy to make money here, after all. Especially if you're going on a gym run. The whole competitive thing doesn't do it for me, but... That discount makes things pretty tempting.

I'm not too good at battling and traveling's a big pain so I haven't been bothering with the gyms. I didn't know there were any discounts involved, though! I think I'm gonna stay in Goldenrod for a while so maybe there's no harm in trying...

Yeah, I've tested it out myself although I don't really battle too much myself either.

Apparently, the more gyms you defeat, the bigger the discount. If you like traveling around, then it's definitely an option...

Traveling's a pain and I hate all the running around and camping outside. The city is nice and busy, anyway, so it's more trouble than it's worth to try roughing it.

I guess I'm still not over the novelty of it, then. I only ever lived in an island city my whole life. Traveling like this is new.

Really? Islands are pretty cool but never leaving makes it sound more like a prison than anything...

I think I like the idea of traveling but not all the work and the mess. Maybe I'll get one of those birds so I can fly anywhere.

It wasn't so bad. Cloudbank was always changing and nothing was ever static. It kept you occupied.

That's a good idea. I'm training up mine to do that eventually too.
